Most venues now offer group discounts on entrance charges and other additional extras. However, did you know you do not necessary need to belong to a formal organisation to pick up these discounts?
Why not club together with some friends and as long as you meet the minimum requirement numbers, then these savings can be considerable. At Wedgwood museum, groups of 12+ attract a third off the entrance price and at Alton Tower’s groups of 10+ are eligible for about 30% off the gate prices!
Another top tip from Topdogdays!
Water World is offering Christmas parties with a difference – it includes entrance to the Water World park & rides!
If you fancy tinsel with your swimming costume, the park also offers a choice of Christmas meals including an ‘I hate Christmas Option’ if the spirit still hasn’t got to you!
Dates available from 1/12/09-31/01/09 and prices start from £9.99 per person with a minimum of 15 persons. If this is the thing for you, contact Water World on 01782 205747 for further details.

If you are off to Water World in the next couple of months, here’s a couple of tips to keep the entrance costs down! Can you visit on a Sunday? Water World currently offers a reduced price on Sunday afternoons, (£7.99 per person if you visit after 12noon which reduces to £6.99 after 2pm instead of the normal rate of £9.5o!). See www.waterworld.co.uk for further details. Once there, you can buy return tickets for £5 per person which are valid for 3 months. Although perhaps looking a little dated nowadays, the kids don’t notice and there is certainly enough to keep them busy for a good few hours.
