Tips to beat the queues at Cadbury World
It’s of no surprise that the busiest times are school holidays where they can be catering for about 3000 people a day! To avoid the worst of the queues, follow our tips:
Pre-Book Your Tickets: tickets are not only limited to capacity but are time slot managed. Pre-booking allows you to book your time slot in advance rather than turning up and finding the next available time slot isn’t until some hours later!
Get There Early: you may have pre-booked your ticket but you still need to queue for your time slot even if you have booked the first slot of the day. With 80 time slots being allocated for every 10 minutes, the queues build quickly! At peak times, it is wise to arrive by 10am at the latest to avoid lengthy queues. The busiest times are between 11am & 3pm, so try to ensure you are ahead of the crowds.
Avoid the food queues: bring a picnic and set yourself down by the play area to allow the kids to run off all that chocolate!

Legoland have announced open auditions for the position of Model Builder for the new Legoland discovery centre that is set to open in March 2010. If you want to be in charge of building the exhibits at the new centre, then step down to the Lowry Hotel, Manchester on 27 November and face the challenge!
The first task will be to create an animal figure in 15 minutes out of lego, (of course!) If you make it through to the second heat, sources tell me that contestants will then need to build a famous face to wow the judges.
Best of luck if you are off to this.

More details are available at www.national-ice-centre.com.
If you are there early, why not pick up the flyer ‘Victoria Centre Ice Rink’ from the Nottingham tourist office located by the rink. It has a free skate hire voucher for the National Ice Centre, (not the outdoor rink) located in Bolero Square.
Happy skating.
