Tesco clubcard reward vouchers; how to make them go further?
Ensure you get 4 times your voucher’s value in reward options. If you spend it on food you only manage to get two times their value! Although Tesco are currently expanding this out to other departments for a limited period of time, this will still only get you two times their value!
Find cost effective deals in the brochure. Although reward vouchers can be redeemed for up four times their value, some deals only effectively offer you two or three times their value. For example you can opt for a free Cineworld ticket for £3 in clubcard vouchers. However it doesn’t cost you £12 for a cinema ticket! For value for money, it would be better spent on rewards such as a Merlin Annual Pass where your vouchers will give you the full 4 times it’s value.

Combine tesco deals with other offers to max out your savings. Use your tesco clubcard reward vouchers wisely to ensure best value. For example for a family of four off to Alton Towers, combine a 2 for 1 voucher with two tesco day entry rewards for a total of £20 in clubcard vouchers, (wise to split into twos at the kiosk to avoid the one offer per transaction!) This way you can bank additional Tesco clubcard reward vouchers for your next day out too!
Additional clubcard points promotions. Clearly this is what Tesco want you to do, but it is worth keeping an eye out for additional points promotions to build your rewards as long as you are buying necessary household items!
Check out these Tesco Clubcard deals that potentially offer value for money:
- English Heritage Membership; each £10 in Tesco clubcard vouchers will give you £40 off annual membership. Membership will give you free entry to over 400 historic settings in England.

- Legoland Discovery Centre; buy entrance in full for £3.50 in vouchers per person, (adult on the gate price, £13.95)
- Conkers, Derbyshire; each £5 in Tesco clubcard voucher will allow you £20 off your entrance fees.
- Crealy Adventure Parks; this new addition will secure a £20 discount for just £5 in clubcard vouchers.
Tesco clubcard vouchers can offers value for money and, if used wisely, will save you a fortune on days out!

Lockers at Alton Towers, Thorpe Park, Drayton Manor, Legoland, Chessington.

Thorpe Park locker
This is a common query that comes up quite regularly. A good way to save money and avoid food queues is to take a picnic to these theme parks. We have put together information on the lockers for each theme park as set out below:
Alton Towers; good sized lockers are available at Guest Services at Alton Towers. Priced at £3 a day, you can come and go as often as you like at no extra charge. However, there can be a queue at guest services on busy days so best to get their early.
Thorpe Park; a good number of lockers are located throughout the park as well as under the main dome as you arrive at Thorpe Park. These cost £1, (non-refundable), so best not to come and go too often.
Chessington World of Adventures; lockers can be found in the centrally located Market Square and again cost a non-refunable £1.
Drayton Manor; lockers are located at the central toy store priced at £2 a day. Belongings are placed in a basket and a staff member then places them within a locker – you can return as many times as you wish during the day. With this also being the toy store, you may have to wait to be served on busy days.
Legoland, Windsor; there are a limited number of lockers available located at the entrance, (The Beginning) & close to the Imagination Centre and cost a non-refunable £1. However lockers are limited in number and quickly run out at this popular theme park. It might be worth following the trend of other customers and acquiring a small bag on wheels to carry your lunch rather than rely on a spare locker.
