Alton Towers 2012

November 10th, 2011

Alton Towers 2012

Alton Towers re-opens on March 24 2012, (see below for February Half Term dates), with two new attractions to experience for the new season.

Alton Towers Deals

Nemesis; What Lies Beneath

New for Alton Towers 2012, this  dark indoor ride will be located within the Forbidden Valley incorporating a new underground basement area close to Nemesis.  With the theming based around the creation of the original Nemesis ride, there are rumours abound that this will be a new psychologically thrilling drop ride experience.  More details as they come in.

Ice Age 3: Dawn of the Dinosaurs – 4D Experience

To be located in the Cloud Cuckoo Land Theatre, this movie uses 3D glasses and special effects to bring in that fourth dimension. Other attractions that have introduced 4D experiences have made use of moving seats, wind & rain special effects to keep you on your toes.  Lots of fun for all the family.

Sonic Spinball at Alton Towers

Alton Towers 2013 & New Coaster Planned

Plans had previously emerged for a new thrill coaster for 2013 that is set to be the most expensive ride yet to be created at Alton Towers with a budget to exceed the £15million spent on building Thirteen!  With new thrill rides in place for both 2012 & 2013 seasons, this will perhaps push through bumper visitor numbers.

Alton Towers February Half Term 2012

If you can’t wait for the new season to begin, then remember Alton Towers opens a selection of rides for February Half Term running 11-19 February 2012, (the new rides aren’t due to open until March 2012).  With the park open from 10am-4pm, tickets are generally much cheaper and much quieter than busy peak times.
