Alton Towers Ticket Price Increase
Alton Towers have increased the on the gate ticket prices for those wishing to use 2 for 1 vouchers reports Towers Times.
This is an interesting development after Merlin Entertainments have spent so much time & effort over the past years promoting 2 for 1 vouchers to entice people to the parks. If we are now to see two prices emerging at the gate – one for those using promotional 2 for 1 vouchers and one for those not using a voucher but gaining a special ‘on the day’ price – the effective saving on the voucher will begin to diminish.
Currently those with a 2 for 1 voucher will need to pay an entrance charge of £40.80, those without a voucher will pay the special ‘on the day’ price of £39.60. Not a huge difference at this point, but one to keep an eye on nevertheless.
