Looking to join the National Trust this year, then it would be worth noting they are currently running an online membership deal.  Sign up online to pay by direct debit and you receive 3 months membership for free, (receive 12 months membership for the cost of 9 months) in the first year.  For more details go to The National Trust.

Alternatively,  for the National Trust in Scotland you can use your Tesco clubcard vouchers towards admission charges where £5 in tesco vouchers will convert to £20 off entrance charges. Can’t be bad!
